Due to Chinese historical records, plant of bayberry was started in Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) in ZhangZhou City. Till this moment, its core area still is in FuGong Town. FuGong Bayberry was famous because of its beautiful color & sweet tasting. Average weight is approx 10.00-15.00 grams per piece. In year 2002, PGI was issued.
